Haute Hip Hop at New York Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2013
Drawing on inspiration from Keith Haring's artwork, refelctive of the 1980's street culture, designers Timo Weiland and Alan Eckstein created a collection of funky, aymmetirical shapes and patterns. To complete the look, hair was styled by L'Oreal Professionnel Portfolio Artist Joseph DiMaggio who used a series of popular 80's do's like corn rows and (of course) crimpped hair! "The twisted long pony tail with the mock corn row French braid complimented the collection to a T" said Weiland.

To create the "hip hop" pony tail that was the highlight of the show, DiMaggio applied L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Reinforcing Milk and followed by smoothing it with a flat iron.
Next, he parted hair from ear to ear and put into a high ponytail. Hair was then criss crossed at the crown like a braid, lastly it was crimped for texture.
To finish the look DiMaggio spritezed on L'Oreal Professionnel Infinium 3 for a secure hold.
